Job Description:
Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced Business Consultant with strong expertise in Blue Yonder Transportation Management System (TMS) to support solution design, configuration, and process optimization. The role will involve working closely with customers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements, define processes, and ensure the successful implementation of BY TMS solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Engage with business users to gather, document, and validate transportation process requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and Blue Yonder TMS configuration settings.
- Support solution design activities by aligning system capabilities with operational goals.
- Participate in business diagnostics, process mapping, and gap analysis workshops.
- Configure BY TMS modules for planning, execution, rating, and freight payment based on approved design.
- Assist in functional testing, UAT, and validation of configured solutions.
- Work with integration teams to ensure smooth data flow between BY TMS, ERP/WMS, and carrier systems.
- Support change management and user adoption through training, documentation, and post-go-live support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend system enhancements.
- Conduct trainings and workshops as part of capability development in the team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of consulting and implementation experience in Blue Yonder TMS (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of transportation planning, execution, load consolidation, carrier selection, and freight payment processes.
- Familiarity with EDI/API integration between BY TMS and other enterprise systems.
- Experience in requirement gathering, solution configuration, and functional testing.
- Knowledge of optimization algorithms, rating engines, and carrier contract management.
- Ability to conduct business workshops and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Blue Yonder TMS certification(s) preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to travel for project requirements.
